Mass Haul Diagrams provide the contractor or engineer with the most cost efficient way of moving the mass excavation on a project site. This diagram gives the direction and average length of haul for the mass excavation on a site.
This is very useful in estimating the required cycle times for dump trucks or scrapers. It can also provide the average gradient that the excavating equipment will be traveling.
